David Stewart

David Stewart (Founder and CEO):

David has over 20 years experience in the EDA and semiconductor industries. This includes 10 years at Cadence where he was as a founder and Business Development Director of the System-on-Chip (SoC) Design facility at the Alba Campus in Scotland. This initiative attracted worldwide interest and the Design Centre grew to 200+ people in its first 18 months. Before Cadence he was a chip designer, with spells at LSI Logic, NEC Electronics and National Semiconductor. David has served on the board of several technology startups and one venture capital firm.

Richard Taylor

Richard Taylor (Founder and Chief Technical Officer):

Richard has significant experience in leading engineering groups in system, silicon and software design. Richard has a technical specialisation is in compiler technology and processor micro-architecture. He spent a number of years developing advanced code generation and code optimisation techniques for a range of microprocessor architectures before co-founding CriticalBlue to exploit new innovations in processor micro-architecture and code compilation techniques.

Roderick Macneil

Roderick Macneil (Board Member):

Rory is chief executive of Axiope, which provides a user-configurable system for managing scientific data. Rory was brought up and educated in the US (Amherst College 1976 and Harvard Law School 1984). He spent 16 years in Hong Kong, as a lawyer, and as founder and chief executive of Macneil Pacific, which advised multinational companies on strategic and transactional issues relating to their business activities in China. Macneil Pacific was sold to a leading international law firm in 1998, at which time Rory joined the firm to head its Hong Kong and China practice. He moved to Edinburgh in 2001.

Eddie Anderson

Eddie Anderson (Board Member):

Eddie Anderson has 20 years experience in building innovative software companies and products.

Prior to founding Pentech, he was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Objective Software Technology (OST), a software tools company, based in Scotland and selling product internationally. OST was sold to Wind River Systems (NASDAQ:WIND) in 1998. As CEO, Eddie was responsible for the overall business strategy, fund raising, establishing and managing OEM relationships with leading international software organizations, and the development of the sales channels both nationally and internationally.

During his period with Wind River, he played an integral part in the definition and development of the next generation of Wind River product, running groups spread over three geographic locations.

Prior to founding OST, he has held various roles in BT Research, building next generation telecoms infrastructure software, and real- time systems for video routing and switching.

Eddie was a Director of Applied Generics (sold to TomTom BV) and currently serves on the boards of AMT, Critical Blue and Enigmatec.

He has a B.Sc (Hons) in Applied Physics from the University of Strathclyde

Lucio Lanza

Lucio Lanza (Board Member):

Mr. Lanza is director of Lanza techVentures, is an early stage venture capital and investment firm for new companies with innovative technologies in the semiconductor and technical software markets. He has held the position of general partner with U.S. Venture Partners. He held the position of chief strategist and leader of merger and acquisition activity for Cadence Design Systems as well as executive management positions with several leading technology companies including Olivetti, Intel, Daisy Systems, and EDA Systems, where he was CEO.

Mr. Lanza serves on the boards of ARM plc (LSE: ARM; Nasdaq: ARMHY), Forte Design Systems, PDF Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PDFS), and Pharmix Inc. He holds a doctorate in electronic engineering from Politecnico of Milano.
